Working with the body in psychotherapy is essential. Trauma is stored in the body, we hold difficult experiences in the body and in order to find it and transform it we must go to the body. I believe that memories are stored not only in the brain and mind, but also in every cell of our body and it should be addressed in the way of healing.
Working with the body we can reach blockages and reactions from the past and transform them through touch, breathing and contact with it.
Body sensations, not intense emotions, are the key to healing.
When we learn again how to read and accept the signals from our bodies, we get closer to our tender places, wounds, emotional blockages, as well as to the vitality and pleasure that flow through them.
We release the energy that has been trapped and make room for new sensations and experiences.
Bodywork techniques strengthen the awareness of the body-mind connection what directly affects health and sense of happiness.
